Types of Kitchen Sinks

There are a lot of types of kitchen sinks to place into your countertop. Some method of fitting may be cheaper the others and some will be harder. Here are some methods of install your kitchen sink.

Undermount sinks or undercounter kitchen sinks blend with the countertop to make a soft look. The rims are not shown above the countertop. The bowl is installed under the countertop. Deep kitchen sinks are one type of undermount sinks obtainable as single bowl kitchen sinks, double bowl sinks, or triple bowl kitchen sinks. The extra bowls may cost you extra, but it might be worth the money if it helps you with everyday chores such as wash dishes or wash twins.


Tile-In sinks are used with tile countertops. Tile-in sinks are planned to mount on the tile surface so there aren’t any visible separation between the sink and the surface.

Drop in kitchen sinks, also known as rimmed sinks need metal strips in the countertop for the sink to lie on. This is the least luxurious type of sink and can be used with any type of countertop material. Apron front sinks is a case of a drop in sink. Farmhouse sinks can be a drop-in kitchen sink or undermount kitchen sink. Corner kitchen sinks are shaped as a double bowl sink.

Wall mount sinks lets you place a sink in the laundry room, in-between cabinets, bathroom, anywhere you satisfy.


Drainboard kitchen sinks are normal for some kitchen sinks. Drain board kitchen sinks establish useful for drying dishes. The drain board allow liquid to run into the drainboard in its place of moving off the kitchen countertop.
